MONKEY Navigation Platform – OBSOLETE

The MONKEY navigation platform provides an integrated ARM processor and high performance GPS unit on a miniature platform (1.75” x 3.25”) that can fit into just about any application.

Note:  JTAG cable option is for programming only.  USB converter option is serial port to USB converter for easy communication to Monkey.

· MONKEY has everything needed for high end autonomous control design, including:

· ARM7 LPC 2368 Host Controller

· U-Blox LEA-5H GPS Module and antenna

· Spare analog and digital I/O ports

· Isolated PWM servo outputs

· Micro SD Card

· On board serial flash

· USB power and interface

· Three status LED’s (red, green, blue)

· RS-232 on board converter

· JTAG interface (tested with Rowley Crossworks)

· Serial boot loader

· Interfaces with CHIMU module for attitude estimates and sensor inputs via SPI or UART

NOTE:  This unit is intended for developers.

Currently, MONKEY is operational and has been used for specialty applications.  Source code (C based) for Monkey is provided to customers who purchase the hardware.

The unit is shipped with basic code installed that passes CHIMU and GPS data out the main serial port.  Other functions may be implemented in the base code that ships at the time of order.
